The Tourbeau College Soccer Showcase was specifically designed for NAIA players, but the showcase staff has taken the opportunity to the next level by allowing several different levels of talent to apply, and inevitably, participate in the national combine event in December.
"We have thought of all different possibilities leading up to the announcement of the showcase back in June, but after long talks with some our partners and soccer colleagues- we think it was a good decision to allow other players the 'chance' to get involved", added president Chase Neidig.
The showcase will be five days and will include a variety of skill training, regular training sessions, small-sided competition, classroom seminars, and full 11v11 matches- all centered around giving scouts the opportunity to see the combine participants in a variety of environments.
Neidig even went on further to speak on the significance of the pro showcase. "This showcase will be one of a kind. Its been a lot of sweat and tears preparing for the event. I want the very best for every player, I want them to live out their dream, just as I once did. And not only myself, but the entire staff will stay dedicated to that mission."
With seven weeks till the beginning of Tourbeau College Soccer Showcase, the complete applicant list is in its final stages before being released to the public. In early July, the showcase coaching staff was released-as those coaches will lead a group of players throughout the week for the showcase. Those coaches include several nationally-recognized coaches such as: Chris Kranjc (Hastings College), Alan Koch (Simon Fraser), Melvin Belong (Bethel University) and many others.
